Every time you shop at Coles or Woolworths, the odds are you are about to be conned. It’s absolutely outrageous. Hard working Australians are being ripped off by fat cat corporations that continue to LIE to us every day of the week.
We are being duped into paying more for basic items—this isn’t just unethical, it’s fraud.
Court documents reveal shocking details of how Coles and Woolworths, two of Australia’s biggest supermarket chains, have allegedly hiked prices up to 36%, before offering deceptive “discounts”, on over 600 essential products, including hand soap, noodles, coffee, pet food, insect repellent, lemonade, and more, tricking customers into thinking they were getting a deal.
The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has accused both supermarkets of violating consumer protection laws by misleading customers with these phoney discounts.
Our trust in these companies has been shattered. It’s time to take a stand.
Sign this petition demanding that the Prime Minister urgently intervene and direct the ACCC to take Coles and Woolworths to court for fraudulent conduct.
Demand Coles and Woolworths full accountability for their pricing practices.
We are asking for 100,000 Australians to join us in taking a stand against the SuperFrauders.
The Hon Anthony Albanese
Prime Minister of Australia
Parliament House
Canberra, ACT 2600
Dear Prime Minister,
We, the undersigned, write to express our deep frustration and concern over alleged fraudulent pricing practices by Coles and Woolworths. Recent revelations indicate that these two major supermarket chains have engaged in misleading pricing strategies that are both deceptive and unethical. According to court documents, prices on essential items like noodles, coffee, pet food, and even hand soap were allegedly inflated by as much as 36%, only to be reduced through deceptive “discounts” that led consumers to believe they were getting a deal.
The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) has rightly flagged these practices as a violation of consumer protection laws. However, for millions of Australians who rely on these stores for essential goods, the damage to trust and the impact on household budgets cannot be overstated.
We urge your government to:
This petition represents the voices of Australians who are tired of being taken advantage of by corporations who prioritize profits over ethical practices. We need the government’s support to ensure Coles and Woolworths face the consequences for their actions.
Thank you for your attention to this pressing issue.
Yours sincerely,
