The UN has found Australia in breach of international human rights obligations due to arbitrary detention.
Australia’s treatment of refugees has become a global stain on our conscience. Survivors of war and persecution are met with violence, indefinite detention, and mental anguish.
The facts are clear: our detention policies are causing irreversible harm. Offshore facilities have broken people and onshore centres are plagued with abuse. Disagreeing with refugee policy doesn’t excuse cruelty. Abuse is never a solution.
We demand that Federal Prime Minister of Australia Anthony Albanese to:
This is a human rights emergency, and it’s happening on our watch. Refugees deserve dignity, not damage.
We need 10,000 signatures by 31st May 2025 to bring attention to this issue and demand an end to this cruelty. Sign the petition to make a difference in the life of refugees.
