No child should die for a glass of water – clean water is a human right
- 700+ children die every single day from waterborne diseases.
- In parts of Africa, kids walk 6 kilometers a day for dirty water.
- Clean water could cut child deaths in half — instantly.
Right now, children are scooping water from muddy puddles, sharing streams with livestock, and filling their bottles with filth because it’s all they have. The very water that should be keeping them alive is now hurting them. They are wracked with pain from parasites, fevers, and infections. Every sip they take is a gamble with their lives.
No child should suffer like this.
We believe clean water is a human right, not a luxury. We’re standing with everyone demanding action — parents who walk for hours, children who carry buckets heavier than their backpacks, and those building something better.
We call on world governments to:
- Prioritize access to clean water in national budgets and development plans — because safe water is not a luxury, it’s a right.
- Invest in sustainable infrastructure — wells, pumps, and purification systems that reach rural and marginalized communities.
- Partner with local leaders and organizations who understand the needs on the ground and can build real, lasting solutions.
We need 10,000 signatures by June 30th, 2025. Life begins with water, let’s ensure everyone has access to it.

Canada and other countries still have areas where water is unsafe and unhealthy for consumption. We can put pop stars in rockets but we can't supply a basic need? Do better.
